Congratulations Afraaz Ahmad Khan (Y13A) & Alishba Ahmad Khan (Y10C)

On October 20th, siblings Afraaz Khan and Alishba Khan joined forces for the “UAE Stands with Lebanon: Second Edition” initiative, where they worked hand in hand to pack essential packages for those affected by the ongoing conflict in Lebanon. This experience not only allowed them to contribute to a vital humanitarian effort but also deepened their understanding of the importance of community service.

Congratulations Seth Sidney D Silva - Year 10D

Jumeirah Golf Estates proudly hosted the season-opening event of the 2024/25 Tommy Fleetwood Academy Junior Medal Series, and in the Signature Tees Division, Seth D’Silva claimed a stunning victory with a two-under-par, net 34 score, which featured three impressive net birdies.

Congratulations Mariesha Bhoir (Year 6C)

We are happy to announce another remarkable achievement by Mariesha Bhoir of Year 6, who has once again made us proud at the Aspire UAE Inter Club Gymnastics Cup 2024. Competing at level 6 against a talented field of gymnasts from across the GCC, Mariesha displayed exceptional skill, dedication, and determination. Her achievements include Overall 2nd Position in the Championship, a Gold Medal in Vault, a Silver Medal in Bars, and a Bronze Medal in Beam.

Congratulations Daniika Meganathan (Year 9B)

She secured 1st Prize in the Climate Champion Art Competition by Cartoon Network and Warner Bros Discovery and earned the 3rd Merit Prize in the Emirates Environmental Group’s 19th annual Environmental Drawing Competition. Both these competitions focused on current sustainability issues, encouraging students to think critically and creatively.

Congratulations Ayushi Megchiani (Year 9A)

Ayushi Megchiani from 9A emerged victorious in the finals at Hubb Tennis Center in Silicon Oasis, competing in the Girls Under 14 category. She secured first place at the Rackets Academy tournament in
March, achieved runner-up status at Hubb in April, and clinched another victory at Hubb in May.

On Saturday the April of 20th Arna Mehta of Year 4 participated in the ‘Grand Styles’ – All Styles Battles held at the P7 Arena in Media City and emerged at the top 8th position competing against adults.

Congratulations Niesha Navlani (Year 3C)

We are delighted to share that Niesha Navlani of Year 3 has won 2nd place at the Budokan Karate Cup Dubai, 2024 held at Kent College, Dubai on the 28th of April 2024. Niesha’s dedication, perseverance, and exceptional skills have earned her accolades in this competition.

We are very happy to announce that Neel Praveen from Year 3 has made us proud by qualifying for the National Level of the KenKen International Championship. His excellent performance in the first round has earned him this prestigious opportunity to compete at the national level.

Congratulations Shanelle Dsouza (Year 4D)

We are thrilled to announce that Shanelle of Year 4 has achieved remarkable success at the recent Level Up Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Cup 2024. Her achievements – Gold Medallist in Floor Routine, Gold Medallist in Balance Beam, Gold Medallist in Vault, and Silver Medallist in Uneven Bars. Her outstanding performance earned her 1st place overall, a testament to her hard work and passion for gymnastics.

Congratulations Mariesha Bhoir (Year 6C)

Congratulations to Mariesha from Year 6 for her outstanding performance at the interclub Artistic Gymnastics Championship!Her achievements include a Gold Medal in Floor, a Silver Medal in Bars, and a trophy for securing the overall 3rd position.

Congratulations Duaa Sarah Usman (Year 5C)

We are very happy to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of our young karate champion Duaa Sarah Usman of Year 5. She secured a silver medal in her category for age 9 representing UAE  in the prestigious UAE International Karate Open was held from Feb 16th – 18th 2024. 

Her performance not only earned her a place on the podium but also a certificate, recognizing her as one of the top competitors.

Heartiest Congratulations to Dev Balani of Year 1 on achieving the Orange Belt in Karate. The Orange Belt signifies a significant milestone in martial arts training.  Receiving the certificate from the International Federation of Karate is a testament to Dev’s commitment and skill. May this achievement inspire Dev to continue his journey, aiming for even greater heights in the world of Karate.

Congratulations Miraya Nambiar (Year 5A)

We are thrilled to announce the achievement of Miraya of Year 5 who has won silver medals in all the strokes in the 50m category at the Aquatix Novice swimming gala held on February 25th, 2024. She is a swimming star who shines in every stroke. She has made us all proud with her silver medals.

Congratulations Jemma Lily Jeff Mendes (Year 10A)

Congratulations to Jemma Mendes for her outstanding 1st place win in the “Artfully Yours” competition! Despite a strict time limit of 1.5 hours, Jemma’s talent shone through in her artwork, centered around the theme of “Caring for Nature.”  Jemma’s achievement is a testament to her skill and passion for art, deserving of all the recognition it receives.

We are delighted to announce that Gemish Bhagchandani of Y3A along with his Drama group was awarded 4th place by the judges & 2nd place through audience vote in the prestigious International Short + Sweet Festival.

Ansh Uchil, from Year 12A, delivered a compelling Ted Talk at Emirates International School Jumeirah on January 25, 2024. The central theme of his presentation was “A Truth in a World of Lies,” with a focus on “The Power of Words.”

Nirvaan Lokesh Hirani, a budding talent from FS2 of Dubai Gem Private School, has recently secured a commendable place in the International Federation of Karate records by attaining the esteemed 9th Kyu Orange Belt. At such a young age, Nirvaan’s dedication to Kyokushinkai Karate is truly exceptional, reflecting not only his commitment but also the nurturing environment provided by Dubai Gem Private School.

Congratulations Ayushi Megchiani (Year 9A)

Ayushi Megchiani, 9A, won the International Junior Tennis Tournament, the Lemon Bowl, held in Dubai last month. As a winner, she qualified for a wild-card entry to compete in the Lemon Bowl tournament in Rome, Italy.

Congratulations Shanelle Calliope D Souza (Year 4D)

Congratulations Shanelle D’Souza of Year 4. She participated in her first Equestrian competition held at Al Madam Stables and won 2nd place in Mini Polo, 1st place in Open pole bending & 3rd place in Baton race.  She also participated in her 1st green ball tennis tournament held at Alex Ostrovsky Academy by the UAETF and achieved 2nd place. One of her biggest achievements is the opportunity to play and interview ATP World No. 5 Andrey Rublev as he visited Dubai during the Abu Dhabi Mubadla Tennis Open 2024.

Congratulations to Mariam Afzal Munshi (5B) for securing the second place in the national finals of the Formula Ethara at home – The F1 in schools STEM challenge organized by Yas Schools. Both Zahra Afzal Munshi (8C) & Mariam Afzal Munshi(5B) were selected as the top 20 participants in the national level finals, showcasing their exceptional skills and dedication.

We want to congratulate him for his involvement and achievement in the Dubai Run. He has demonstrated that he can overcome any challenge with a positive attitude.

Congratulations to Dhruv Dinesh Sawant from Year 3C for his terrific achievement in the Dubai Run. Dhruv completed the 5 km run successfully setting a personal record of 17814 steps in a single go. We are very proud of his dedication, perseverance, and fitness.

Congratulations Jainam Kothari (Year 4D)

Congratulations to Jainam Kothari from Year 4D for his amazing achievement in Dubai Run which is one of most anticipated events of the 30X30 Fitness Challenge! Jainam participated in the 5 km race and completed it successfully, setting a personal record of more than 15000 steps in a single go.

Ayushi Megchiani was the Finalist and Runners up for Girls U14 Tennis Tournament/ Road to Mubadala that was held recently on Oct 13 – 22, 2023. With this win, Ayushi is now moved up to the 3rd rank in UAE Federation’s GU14.

Congratulations Daniel Lobo (Year 11B)

Daniel Lobo, our year 11 student, participated in the Dubai South Ride- 40km on 5th Nov 2023. He completed the 40km route in 1hr 17minutes and came First in the 16-18 age group. Overall, he came 38th out of 145 cyclists and was the youngest cyclist among all the riders!

Our Year 8 student, Riyan Malhan has won multiple accolades at the Payyanur Sauhruda Vedi Tournament. This tournament was held in Doha, Qatar (26 Oct – 28th Oct 2023). Riyan won the Boys singles U-15 and the Boys singles U-17.

This tournament is part of the Road to Mubadala tennis series which qualifies players to the upcoming world class tennis championship, The Mubadala – Abu Dhabi Open.
