We at Dubai Gem Pvt School believe that every child is unique and deserves the best start in life.

Children develop and learn fastest in their first years of life. In order to foster this, DGPS  provides a stimulating curriculum and environment to ensure that your child has every opportunity to explore, share experiences and learn basic skills. The Foundation Stage Curriculum begins in Kindergarten and is completed by the end of FS 2. There are 7 areas of learning and development in the early years setting. All areas of learning and development are important and inter-connected.

The 3 prime areas are:

Communication and Language
Physical Development
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Children are also supported in the four specific areas of learning:

Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the World
Expressive Arts and Design
Each area of learning has a set of related early learning goals. The Foundation Stage teachers plan work aimed at meeting the diverse needs of all children. By the end of the Foundation Stage most children will have achieved the early learning goals, some will go beyond them.  During their time in the Foundation Stage all children are given the opportunity to gain independence and confidence and develop the ability to make choices and decisions.

The curriculum in the Foundation Stage is taught through a skill based Creative Curriculum which follows the principle of Learning Through Play.  We provide a broad and balanced curriculum, taught and tracked through the Early Years Foundation Stage which will enable each child to develop emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually to their full potential.

The children develop skills and understanding of the world around them through a range of planned activities both inside and outside of the classroom, enabling them to develop skills and concepts that will provide an excellent foundation for future learning.
