Primary School Investiture Ceremony- 2016


“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life”. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students, a school Prefect body was formed at Dubai Gem Private School and the Investiture ceremony was held on September 26th 2016 in the school hall.

The air was filled with excitement as the programme began. Our Principal Mrs. Ibrahim and Vice Principal, Mrs. Malhotra were among the distinguished guests.

Mrs. D’Monte, the year 6 coordinator anchored the programme. We began with a reading from the Holy Quran followed by the National Anthem. This was followed by an introduction by Mrs. D’Monte. Two students from Year 6, Khushi Desai and Tejal Gupta spoke on Leadership and Responsibility.

This was followed by the long awaited announcement of the Prefect body. Our Vice Principal Mrs. Malhotra announced the Primary School Student Leaders and our Principal Mrs. Ibrahim awarded them with the badge. The students walked up the red carpet with pride amongst cheering from their school mates.

The oath of office was then taken by the prefects, with the promise that they would carry out their duties with integrity, faith and excellence.

In her address our Principal advised all present to never give up however difficult a situation, and keep trying to achieve their goals with perseverance and determination.

The head boy Advait Dayanand led the school in Prayer. The programme concluded with the singing of the school song.
