“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are a leader.” – John Quincy Adams
During the much awaited assembly of the year, held on September 17th 2017, deserving young students of the school were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their school from the front with commitment, confidence and competence – all of which were the result of their fervent desire to give back to the school community.
The Investiture Ceremony marked a significant beginning of the new academic year. It was a solemn occasion at which the nominated leaders from Years 7 to 11 were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and teamwork in their roles of Student Council, Student Correspondents and Eco Warriors. These young leaders would be led by the Senior Prefect Body, leaders selected from Years 12 and 13.
After a thunderous and encouraging applause from the crowd as the Principal, Ms Humera Ibrahim pinned the badges, Mrs. Annie Wilfred, the Curriculum Supervisor, administered the oath to the senior student body consisting of Head Boy, Aayaan Mehta and Head Girl, Prarthna Lal, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl, Sports and Deputy Sports Captains , House Captains, Vice Captains and Senior Prefects.
This momentous ceremony concluded with a speech delivered by the Principal, Mrs. Ibrahim, who not only fortified the idea of commitment to important issues but also reinforced the idea that ‘leadership comes with integrity’. A huge round of applause and the beaming smile on every face wrapped up the ceremonious assembly.
