Dubai Gem students participate in Dubai Cares Walkathon
A group of 33 Dubai Gem students, from Years 2 to 13, took part in a Walkathon organised by the Dubai Cares charitable organization, on Friday, March 4th. They were led by their supervising teachers, Ms Mary Roy and Ms Sabiha Shaikh.
It took around one hour for the participants to complete the 3km route around the Creek Park. Our enthusiastic students walked with determined energy ignoring the heat and other discomforts, as their prime focus was to be part of this unique cause, which is designed to support less fortunate students who are in utmost need of basic education.
As always DGPS is proud to have extended a helping hand to be part of this wonderful community service. This is the fourth consecutive year we have been part of this meaningful event. Students felt fulfilled and content, realising that their contribution would make a marked difference to lives of children around the globe.
