DGPS teams bag top honours at Inter-School Young Business Talent Hunt

Students from Dubai Gem Private School, displayed their potential for business and entrepreneurship by bagging two first places at the recent Inter-School Young Business Talent Hunt 2016, held at the Skyline University College, Sharjah.

DGPS was the only school with three teams making the final stages of the competition, which attracted 1,200 students from 40 schools across Dubai and Sharjah.

The Inter-School Young Business Talent, is an initiative from The Young Vision designed to improve students’ self-confidence, promote self-reliance, build up self-awareness and impart qualities such as self-motivation and financial responsibility.

The two-day competition was held in three categories: Advertisement Design, Proposal for New Business and Proposal for New Mobile Application.

DGPS teams submitted winning entries in two categories – Advertising Design and Proposal for New Mobile Application.

The winning teams were: Advertisement Design – Pranay Manghnani, Osama Waseem, Amrit Raj Kumar, Shravan Kumar (Grade 13) – the team has won this for the third time in a row.

Proposal for New Mobile Application – Fathima Aalia Amjad, Akansha Goyal, Zoha Yaseen, Urvashi Gandhi (Grade 12). The First Place winners were awarded a Winner’s Trophy along with gold medals, certificates and a 50% percent scholarship for all team members and a AED 400 gift voucher each.

In addition, Urvashi Gandhi won a special prize for Best Speaker.
